It's not the clothing. I work out in a sports bra and my stomach and back still get itchy.

Is it the start of heat rash maybe? Does it happen as you start to really exert yourself?

HappierTimesAhead · 12/02/2024 20:38

It only happens to me when I run, not any other form of exercise. And it's usually when I haven't run in a while and then go for it. It's really awful though and sometimes I just have to stop because it's so unbearably itchy 😫

catsnore · 12/02/2024 20:41

Heat related urticaria maybe? My mum gets cold urticaria - intense itching on her hands when they come into contact with cold air. Apparently you can get it from heat too.

Incorgnito · 12/02/2024 20:45

I don't think it's a heat rash. It passes pretty soon after I stop working out. It's awful. Half the time I want to stop working out and just scratch myself 😅.

Menopause

that makes you itchy

Sammysquiz · 12/02/2024 20:50

Yes, I had this when I first started running, it’s v common apparently. It passed once I’d been running regularly for a few weeks.

mynameiscalypso · 12/02/2024 20:54

I get this sometimes from sweat. It's almost like an allergy.

florenceandthemac · 12/02/2024 21:50

My legs! Every time I'm fast walking or running.
It's unbearable when running as I can't mange to scratch them!

Sleepwhatsthazzz · 12/02/2024 21:52

Heat induced uticaria, try an antihistamine before working out

Menora · 13/02/2024 10:48

Yes it’s sweat. It makes me itch like mad

whathappenedno · 13/02/2024 12:13

Yes I assumed it was the sweat

Suomynona · 19/02/2024 17:00

Yes! It drives me crazy. I have been assuming it was peri-meno creeping up on me.
