Les Mills Equipment?

I haven't done exercise in ages and have in the past done Zumba and Yoga. I have recently purchased Les Mills On Demand to work out at home.

I would like to start doing strength training as well. What would be a good one to start with on Les Mills. Also what equipment is required and do you have any recommendations as the equipment on the Les Mills shop seems pricey. Thanks

I would get a resistance band with handles and a couple of hand weights to start to with (not the Les mills ones) Argos or Amazon have a decent selection.
I would start with 'tone' but there are very good introduction videos to each type of class. You're sure to find something you love there is so much content and something for every one.

If its body pump you want to try then I bought a step from amazon and a barbell set that wasn't les mills branded (similar to the one I've linked) I used it over lockdown quite a bit

Thanks for the replies, I have ordered them - although l was looking at body pump and got a bit scared! I am going to try and start with the 6 week programme that Les Mills suggests.

With body pump you can tailor the weight selection to suit yourself. Start low until you get the technique right and then build the weight up.

There's basically a music track for each muscle group so you target them all. They always follow the same order: warm up, squats, chest, back, triceps, biceps, lunges, shoulders, core, cool down. Some have combined biceps/triceps and shoulders/lunges tracks.
