Any one run this?

tempted to apply this year but have read it’s hilly….

Yes it is hilly for a marathon! 5 bridges and a long drag up 5th avenue. Looks amazing though and on my list. I have several friends who have done it and been 10-15 mins slower than London.

I did it years and years ago. It’s the bridges. You have to get up to the bridges. I didn’t do any hill training…. ANYWAY…it’s an amazing run. The rush of the crowds on 1st Avenue is incredible. And New Yorkers cheer you on in such a spectacular way that you keep going. At one point I turned a corner and a band was playing the Rocky theme tune. Brilliant motivator.
