How have you been treated differently after weight loss?

Since losing 30 pounds I’ve noticed some changes in people’s attitudes. I think strangers are friendlier but some friends are a bit ruder and make comments about my weight/diet.

Men are a lot friendlier too but will oversexualise my behaviour i.e. my previous friendliness is now viewed as ‘flirting’ which I find strange.

Has anyone else noticed differences in how you are treated after weight loss?

Massive differences between both men and women. Women friendlier, chattier, compliment more, want to be friends more
Men just treat better which is sad, more polite, go out of their way for you, smile more

It's eye opening, I'm the same good person

As soon as I get below a certain weight, and it is very slim (size 10) the perverts come out, the sleazy unsettling looks that feel like I'm prey, the sleazy adds on facebook. It's awful that they are so shallow and awful that they behave like this.

Exactly what @Disturbia81 said. I find it really unsettling how much nicer male strangers are to me now.

I lost about 30lbs and I haven't been treated differently. BMI 30 to 25. I think I pulled off being heavier ok though and dressed flatteringly. You can get away with it more if you have a pretty face and dress nice. I don't suit being too thin

And it's all to do with sex. I'm a binge eater so I regularly flick between size 10 and 14 so I see it clearly. It's so weird seeing that change in behaviour as soon as I literally just have a bit less fat on my body. It just cements that I don't care what men think of me, we're just flesh to them a lot of the time. Best to work out for health and concentrate on being an awesome person.

A really weird one is cars stop more and flash their lights for you to cross! Probably male drivers but it's often difficult to see. I suppose it goes back to people treating you better.

Yip. Men smile, help you with stuff, let you cross the road etc. Much more noticeable in summer, when not muffled up in winter clothing.

Yes this too!

I've found people friendlier but I don't know whether it's because I am more confident and approachable now.
