Try boxing instead.

Another 'fad' really. It's just one move that no doubt you'd get bored of.

The only way to tone a stomach is to build abs and lose stomach fat. You can't target the fat loss, so you'd need to lose weight overall (by diet and exercise ie a calorie deficit)
Power hooping could be included as part of the increased exercise but power hooping alone won't 'tone' your stomach

Tik tok fad

I've never watched tiktoc & I've had my hoop around 6 years.

I'm using it alongside other exercise

Then you would be the best one placed to tell us if it works. Do you have a toned tummy?

Dogeare101 · 27/09/2023 22:45

I've never used the hoop consistently but am now trying to do a min of 30mins a day. I will report back !

I've got a normal hoop which I've started using and, yes, I feel my stomach muscles started to tone up (after several pregnancies, including twins, my stomach muscles are now really knackered and I'm getting a spare tyre too).

I've just ordered one of those hoops with the ball on a rope that goes round the hoop...

A weighted hoop an hour a day, gave me abs for the first time in my life at the age of 53.
It works wonders for your pelvic floor without you even realising.
Tightens your glutes and quads, too.
Stick some music on and get hooping.
(when I started, I could only do a few minutes at a time. Even that made a visible difference to my waist).

👍 That's a great result.
