Should we join David Lloyds

We are considering joining David Lloyds as a family. It's pretty expensive. So I wanted to ask if there are any current or past members. And if you think its worth the price.
We do not live near family, so it would be a great way to get some us time for my husband and I. We are picturing dropping our 3 tear old in one of the classes and then going to the gym or a class. And taking him for a swim on weekends. Any thoughts?

It seems there is so much difference between the clubs. I am currently looking at the one at Cheshire Oaks. Does anyone have any information about that one?

My local one allows men to use the female changing rooms if they say they are women. There changing area is open, no cubicles so it's not safe for women. I couldn't let my daughter use it.

As others have said, it’s massively variable depending on the club, what membership tariff you end up on etc. I’ve been a member at ours for years now and have loads of niggles with it, but around here they pretty much have a captive audience as the local council run gyms and pools are so dire - filthy, crumbling facilities, lots of thefts from lockers etc. The main reason I stay is because of the pools (by far the nicest in the area and being able to swim outdoors is amazing) and DD’s swimming lessons (identically priced and much more consistent than the council ones and no waiting list). We definitely don’t get our money’s worth though.

Ours has just had a big refurb with a spa installed, so we’re making the most of that for the moment, but will likely move on once DD gets a bit bigger (as many of our friends have) as it is all ridiculously expensive and we just can’t justify it longer term.
