What to eat before the gym

I go first thing - around 7 and it's mostly strength training.

I have a pt session once a week and today I felt properly dizzy and had to stop. Not the first time I've felt off tbh.

I have always done fasted exercise previously but it used to be more cardio based. I do feel sick if I eat too much though.

So far I have tried I slice toast and peanut butter (felt very very sick) and half a banana (less sick but banana burps!).

Only has to be small, just enough to give me enough to boost. And veggie pls.

@Tulpenkavalier here you go 😀

3 english cups seeds, this sort of thing https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/284458968. You can substitute in ground almonds for 0.5/1 cup, and add in some small dried berries eg cranberries too. Eight M/L eggs. 2 good teaspoons baking powder.

Mix all together and bake in loaf tin, 180 deg for at least 30 mins usually longer (depends a bit how big the eggs as needs to dry out properly in the middle).

Almost inedible untoasted. I love it toasted with marmite peanut butter actually, and lemon curd. Salt, tangy, great start to gym day.

Thank you!!

I'll pass on the Marmite 😱but I'll definitely try the rest!!

I never eat before a workout. For morning workouts I just have a coffee.

I will try to eat protein very soon after though - either a protein shake and or a protein heavy meal.

I usually have a banana & a cereal/protein bar. X
