Hey everyone! 🌱💪

I wanted to share my experience with the keto diet and how it has transformed my approach to health and wellness. The keto diet, short for ketogenic, is a low-carb, high-fat eating plan that focuses on putting your body into a state of ketosis. During ketosis, your body switches from using glucose for energy to burning fat, which can lead to weight loss and other health benefits.

Personally, I've found the keto diet to be both satisfying and effective. By cutting down on sugars and refined carbs and embracing healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and coconut oil, I've experienced increased energy levels, improved mental clarity, and a noticeable reduction in cravings.

Of course, every individual's journey is unique, and it's essential to listen to your body's needs while on any diet. If you're considering the keto lifestyle, I encourage you to do your research, consult with a healthcare professional, and remember that finding the right balance is key. Share your experiences and tips below—I'm excited to hear from fellow keto enthusiasts! 🥑🥓😊

Hi there, I have been following the ketogenic lifestyle since April 2023 and I have doing this to be very beneficial. Knowing I am taking an active step to improve my health, has enabled me to change my mindset and encourage me to be more active.

Prior to Keto, I was overweight and underactive, me walking 6000 steps a day was the target on my watch and this was something I would never reach.

I started keto knowing it's benefits as I had done it previously in 2019. With this I then started a 2.60 mile walk daily which was around 5000 steps. This combined with daily walking around to thr shops etc added up so I changed my target to 10,000 steps. I increased my walk making it 3.40miles and often do this twice. I currently achieve 15,000 steps on most days.

Throughout my lifestyle change I have completed, intermittent fasting, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 72 hour fasts drinking 0 calorie drinks. I have done OMAD and currently do alternate Day fasting which I totally love. This works well for me because I don't have to worry about over eating on my "feast" day which I keep keto.

I have lost 15.6 kgs in total and am now within "healthy" ranges on my BMI.

I do have days where I crave sweets and chocolates and now I'm at my goal weight, I do have them (usually around my cycle) I want to be able to have more self control compared to when I was not doing keto.
Thankfully I am able to keep treats as close to the end of the night as possible so I don't overeat. I make sure I stick with ADF so this allows me not to overeat treats over satisfying meals.

Sorry for the long post.

How long have you been doing keto?
