Hi,
I started hrt for peri in February and it has made me gain weight.

My whole adult life I have always been rather slim, however I have now gained weight and it is all tummy and boobs.

I have this huge spare tyre of fat around my middle, skinny legs and arms.

Please could anyone recommend something I can do at home to help with this before I look like a bumble bee?!!

Thank you

I think losing stomach fat is 95% diet, 5% exercise. Stopping eating sugar and UPF are really effective especially if you are peri-menopausal which often comes with insulin resistance.

Mine is only just going at bmi 19.5 and is the last fat to go. I have been doing some abs exercises at home and am starting to get a tiny amount of muscle. I quite like this one.

It is worth building core strength with exercise, and exercise will boost your metabolism which helps, but it is mainly diet based.

It's far quicker to eat surplus calories than burn them off.

It's also worth considering your posture overall. Just making a bit of effort to straighten up can bring your tummy in more than you'd think.

if you want to lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit, unfortunately you can’t chose where that weight is going to come off but it will go eventually. You need to work out calories using and online calculator and then accurately track your food. No need to cut anything out though, just stick to your calories.
