Hamstring

I went a bit full on with my exercise routine (think pump, spin, squats) and have an annoying niggle down the back of my thigh.

I suspect it started as I was sitting more on it due to having my laptop slightly to my left at work, but the exercise has aggravated it.

I looked up hamstring exercises and that's all good but to be honest whatever I do it just dislikes me sitting on it which is tricky as I have a 9-5 desk job.

I could order a standing desk for the office but no idea really if that is the answer. Any ideas?

Maybe try rolling before and after exercise to minimise the muscle soreness after?

Thanks @Kipdfgy funny you mention that as after I posted I had a really long go on the roller. Gonna try more swimming sessions to give it a rest.

I'm no expert but my instinct would be to get up regularly from your desk to do a few hamstring stretches. And maybe invest in a massage gun if you can, and take that into work too (or at least use it say 3 times a day at home). Massage gun really seems to help my hamstrings if they are feeling a bit sore.

Go for a sports massage and then follow any advice they give you.
