Caroline Girvan - I'm planning to do iron, did this improve your body?

I did day one about two weeks ago. I went shopping today and my belly / hips / bum are so wobbly and out of shape. I have lost some weight recently and I really want to tone up and be firm.

I am thinking about doing iron, do you think i will notice a difference by the end of it?

Any tips for me?

Do you have to do it everyday? Or just 5 days per week?

I do the last one tomorrow, I’ve trained most days but had a week off whilst on holiday. It has definitely made a difference, I’m smaller but heavier - definitely increased tone.
I’m not sure whether to repeat or try another Caroline Girvan one, maybe kettlebell.

Hi, thank you for the reply, can I ask how much weight did you put on? And did you leasure how many inches you lost?

I am still trying to loose weight and want to loose about 9 lbs, I am trying to eat in a calorie deficit but I think since I started this week I feel extra hungry.

I found a guide online that says you should have two rest days, one after glutes and one after the full body workout.

I definitely needed one after glutes day, that killed Grin

I started doing Caroline Girvan's workouts at the start of this year and I'm completely hooked! I do notice a difference in my arms and bum but I was fairly slim anyway and I didn't start this to lose weight.
If you watch her Q&A video she says you don't burn many calories with her workouts and she would burn more calories out on a dog walk (she also does 10,000 steps daily). So I wouldn't depend on only her workouts if you are looking to lose weight. As you've said you need to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight so good idea to start tracking with an app like My Fitness Pal.
With regards to rest days, I think two days in between is too much. The way the routines are arranged she will not work the same body part the next day so that gives you your rest day. EG you'll do hamstrings and glutes on day 1, biceps and triceps day 2, chest and abs day 3 so no repeat of body parts which gives time to rest and recover.
And finally I think you'll notice quicker changes to your body if you up your protein to 1g per 1pound of body weight. So tricky if you want to be in a calorie deficit but can be done.

Sorry just reread your post-ignore my thoughts on rest days!! You're correct.

The heaviest dumbbells I used were 6kg and sometimes less. I’m 62 and 5’3” and was about 65kg. I’ve actually put weight on but although I haven’t measured myself my clothes are looser and my mum tum is smaller.
Diet wise I’m diabetic so eat fairly healthily anyway. Except when I bake and then I eat cake…….

Hi, new here but I've done a few of her workouts they're really good and worth doing, you couldn't buy better training videos than Carolines. Iron is more focus of slow heavy lifting, gaining and bulking, of course following a nutritional diet. You will defiantly see a difference, depending on history of exercise, for example if you're just starting out doing this program with proper nutrition there will be big changes. For bulking it would be more increase protein rather than cut calories.
Her other series like Epic 1, Epic 2, Epic Heat etc are more of a mix including cardio, HITT, and Emom workouts. She does have beginner epic as well.
I would defiantly recommend doing it. On her site you can download the workout plan which shows what you do on each days and rest days. You can do what works best for you, she explains its best on her site :)
hope this helps
