Is anyone planning to do this and would like to share how they are getting on? I can't wait to do it, bit I think I'm going to start next week as have a busy week ahead (OH and dd's birthdays plus in-laws visiting). I also want to do different rest days, so it will be easier to tailor it starting slightly later.

Ooh I quite like the look of that stability ball pike 😆

It was day 32 chest and back for me today. I loved it, despite all the push-ups. I think supersets is my favourite format for upper body. I struggled with the lower body metcon yesterday. I was really tired, and I probably should have had a rest day instead.

Did day 40 this morning, 2/3rds of the way through 🥳. This week has been tough! Day 38 (lower body) was the biggest calorie burn for me so far and I'm still sore tbh. If only I could sort out my eating.

I love supersets as well, think it's my favourite format. Already dreading next Saturday's Power Hour.

Congrats on finishing week 8! It's definitely gotten tougher as it goes on.

I doubled up and did day 36 and 37 today (arm strength followed by hiit cardio). Feeling apprehensive about day 38 tomorrow as I was really sore after the last lower body metcon. Those split lunges 😩

My workouts are falling on different days to the official schedule, so I think the power hour will be a weekday after work session for me. Might have to switch a couple of workouts around so I can tackle it at the weekend.

Day 38 lower body metcon done 🙂 It was tough, but I feel pretty good now. And no split lunges, yay (not a fan of overhead lunges though!). I'm proud of myself because I would have struggled with such an intense lower body workout a few months ago.

Well done, you should definitely feel proud as that that one was hard, I am also not a fan of the overhead lunges, I've had to drop my weights right down on that move.

Day 41 is up, hiit for 38 mins. I'm going into the office tomorrow so am going to attempt to drag myself out of bed to do it first thing 😩

Hi all. I know this is an old thread. I just wondered - do any of you still do Heather Robertson's workouts? How did you find them? Did you notice change/progression?

I'm wanting to do some strength training, but need to do it from home. I stumbled across Heather Robertson online and came on here to see if the world of Mumsnet recommended her!

I'm in my early 40s, quite short, at a healthy BMI (but could do with losing a few pounds/toning up). I walk around 15,000 steps a day but don't do much other exercise. I think I need to work on building strength and hopefully toning up a bit.

Anyway, if anyone is still here, I'd be keen to hear on your thoughts/experiences.

I am still a big HR fan. I'm doing her latest 12 week series at the moment (4.0), which I think is my favourite so far. It is very strength-focused. She introduced hiit and metcon after the first 4 weeks.

I have definitely noticed progression and have noticeable muscle definition now. Prior to doing HR workouts, I just followed random YouTube workouts and never progressed much. Now I do HR 12 week programmes or else follow her monthly calendar (usually one upper body strength, one lower body strength, one full body and a couple of hiit/cardio workouts per week). I also do yoga and pilates (yoga with Kassandra and Move with Nicole on YouTube and I also use the Down Dog app). I love being able to work out at home.

I would say the key is to be consistent. You will need a light, medium and heavy pair of weights, and be prepared to get some heavier ones when your heavy pair start to feel like your medium etc. I've also upped my protein and am quite mindful of what I eat in general.

A lot of people on here really rate Caroline Girvan for strength but I prefer HR as she has so much more variety and I find it easy to stick to. Her workouts can be challenging but still doable.

Thank you @biddyboo. That's really helpful.

I'm doing 4.0 as well. I'm 52. I do two days in a row then a c dorner cardio, then two more days then a c dorner Mobility and repeat. I'm about a week behind. Great upper body results so far. I'm going to do Caroline Girvans Fuel in the same way when I'm done. I'm hoping Sydney Cummings will have a new Summertime Fine after that!
