Running earphones request

Can anyone recommend earphones that will work with an iPhone 7, aren’t likely to fall out while I’m running and don’t cost the earth?

Aftershocks bone conducting headphones.
Good sound quality, fit on an Alice band around the back of your head. Amy ear bud type things just fall out of my ears.

Thanks!

I use AirPods when running and they never fall out.

Another vote for Shokz bone conducting headphones - the sound is great but it leaves your ears open to hear traffic and other hazards. My husband got some for work in Oct and both teens got them for Xmas so they'd stop stealing his. DD1 wears them both roller skating & to do homework so she can still join in / eavesdrop on nearby conversations!

OooPourUsACupLove · 30/12/2022 18:05

I don't like Shokz, found I needed them so loud to hear over traffic I might as well have normal style ones.

Earbuds always fall out so these work well for me: www.amazon.co.uk/SoundPEATS-Bluetooth-Headphones-Waterproof-Customized-Black/dp/B0B6W4NQ2V

Amazingly, my AirPods stay in when I run, but they're quite expensive.

I'm going to sell my bone conducting earphones on eBay, so that might be worth a try to see if you like them?

OrpingtonWings · 30/12/2022 18:13

I’ve got aftershockz ones too. Love them. Great for running on rural roads.

dizzydizzydizzy · 30/12/2022 18:50

Aftershokz - love them. I also love AirPods but not for running because they fall out.

greenacrylicpaint · 30/12/2022 18:55

cheapo ones from the supermarket. bluetooth connection but both earpieces connected with a wire.

airpods and other pods never stay in my ear.

BogRollBOGOF · 30/12/2022 22:52

Aftershokz. Ear buds are always too big to get into/ stay in my ears and I never found a comfortable, reliable pair.

Merrilydancing · 30/12/2022 22:56

The best ones for me are the crappy ones which used to come with the iPhone, I sometimes switch to buds as the cable annoys me but soon quickly switch back.

EmpressaurusOfWitchesBackFromTheDead · 30/12/2022 22:58

Shokz are sounding good. I usually run in parks / on towpaths so traffic noise isn’t a big issue. Looking on eBay is a great idea.

I got some Jabra ones. Really good

KendrickLamaze · 30/12/2022 23:07

AirPods don't fall out. You can get them as part of a phone contract now. I got them with a new iPhone (I imagine your iPhone battery lasts ten minutes by now so you may want to consider) for an extra £6 a month. I didn't have a problem with Sony overhead ones either.

CheesenCrackersmm · 30/12/2022 23:23

I always find the ones with behind the ear hooks to work best for running.

Jumbojem · 30/12/2022 23:28

Shockz for me too, I could only keep ear bud type ones in if I wore a headband to hold them in place which was not comfortable on long runs.
Yes, they are useless if I'm by a busy road with lots of traffic noise but this is rarely a large part of my runs.
I wear them round the house listening to podcasts whilst cleaning too but can still hear if anyone speaks to me etc

EmpressaurusOfWitchesBackFromTheDead · 31/12/2022 11:37

I’m definitely going to need to upgrade my phone in the next couple of years! In the meantime I’m going to look at Shockz on EBay. Cheers everyone.
