Has CT5K and keeping going either helped you lose weight, or changed your shape? Please help me keep going

So common sense tells me it will. I need to hear some positive stories please.

Am on week 3 and doing ok. Not loving it, but really would like to slim down my thunder thighs and drop about 10lbs.

I didnt specifically do CT5K but in April, i
started running, combined with an admittedly strict diet. By October I had got up to 10 k, and had lost a stone and a half.

@Verite1 that's so good, we'll done. You must feel so proud of yourself.

I just need to be convinced I'll see some results I think.

I love running, did C25K earlier in the year and am now up to 10mile runs. But it makes you HUNGRY!
Great for general fitness but I'd stick at around 5k if you're using it for weight loss.
Strength training/ weightlifting will be more beneficial in for that in my experience

There’s a saying if you want to change your body, lift weights, if you want to change you life, go running.
I don’t think it has a great impact on my shape but means I can eat what I want and stay skinny.
I also just bloody love it. I’ve made so many friends. It’s changed my life in far more meaningful way than just losing a bit of weight

Well being to eat what I like and be slim would be a massive positive. I completely agree losing weight is mainly down to diet, but I really hope if I finish it (and keep it up) then it would have some positive physical effects that I can see shape wise.

I manage my weight better when I run.
I've spent much of the year injured/ recovering and kept up a lot of low impact exercise including weights and gained weight because I just didn't maintain the energy burn.

I completed it. I did week 4 twice and another week twice. Hated it from beginning to end.

I lost no weight and I do not run now.

I found c25k really hard and struggled through it, not enjoying it at all. But then something sort of "clicked" and I got the bug.
I lost a lot of weight (size 14 down to size 8) and can now eat whatever I want and stay skinny, as I run a lot of miles.

Running has completely changed my body. I lost a lot of weight initially with it, have strong toned legs and a more toned body. Running also led me to think more about nutrition and add strength training. It doesn’t happen overnight, it takes months of consistency but gradually you will see a huge difference if you keep it up.
