Am I just a a really awkward shape? Swimming wear

Trying to find a new swimming costume and I just feel a bit baffled on how sizing can work for this. All the sizes I’ve seen look at bust and waist, none look at height. I’m quite skinny, 5 foot 9 with a very small boobs. I’ve tried on 3 so far and the smaller costumes are tight on shoulder straps and on my … well the other end … ans the bigger sizes have sad deflated bits where bigger boobs should be. When you think about it, I’m not really surprised - how can the same length swimming costume of various widths ever be right for both a five foot 1 woman and 5 foot 11 woman ??

I’ve gotten around it before by wearing two pieces and just buying a smaller top than bottom but I feel like one piece costumes for taller women must be around??

can anyone recommend some brands that do well for taller women?

Marks and Sparks used to do longer length suits as did Debenhams

Completely agree OP. I’m only 5’6” and they are like cheese wire on my rear end. I’ve never found one that’s fits my fairly average size 10 frame.

I wear a tankini for this reason.

Same! I have a DHB (from wiggle) suit with mid thigh length legs. The speedo ones nearly cut me in half despite buying a size up.

Same issue - I recently bought a longer length one from Next. Still not perfect but much better than anything else.

Lands end and Next both sell longer length ones. And avoid the ones cut for boob shaping - there are plenty of different styles.
