I do lots of great in person yoga and pilates but I think barre would be really good for my body, I loved it as a child and I've done aspects of it when I had physio care.

Does anyone know any good online options? Don't mind paid for zoom style too

Down dog barre (app) is good

Why not do a proper ballet class? It's far far better than these barre classes, which don't teach the proper muscle use for the "dancer look" which is what people are often aiming for.

There are lots of good classes taught live online - the set up at Pineapple is excellent and there are two teachers there who are brilliant at introducing beginners to ballet proper. They worked with dancers throughout the lockdowns and are excellent at giving explanations & feedback: try Hannah Frost at Pineapple - she is brilliant. You'll get the basics of ballet safely and properly taught.

I recently started with Meet you at the barre and am really enjoying it - there’s a 7 day free trial, if you want to see whether it’s what you’re after.

I would love to but I have full time care of my son with additional needs and I don't have much time. When I do have time I do yoga as I adore it

Have a look at the Pineapple schedule - you'll find ballet classes at all sorts of times. And most of them teach via Zoom, as well as in-studio. I've done both, and the experience on Zoom is very good.

And I notice that proper real ballet classes cost less than "barre" classes. I've also watched some "barre classes online, to see what the fuss is about - the technique is TERRIBLE, sometimes to the point of being bad for your body ...

Ngr barre looks good

During Lockdown, I did a lot of these classic ballet barre, not the new "barre" concept which I am no fan of.

If you loved the real barre work as child, @doadeer this is for you. and this one left me sweating buckets.

Maria Khoreva has a lot of classes on her YouTube channel.

Maria Khoreva (Marachok) is absolutely beautiful and technically pretty flawless - you could do worse than her barres.

But there's a lot of total rubbish out there.

Did this one in lockdown and worked well for me
