I’ve done C25K so many times over the years after getting to the end but for whatever reason not keeping it up. The thought of starting again just bores me to tears so I did the “First Run” on NRC this morning and did 20 minutes non stop!!! The whole idea is that it’s a s-l-o-w, steady run and I think my pace would have been around a 45 minute 5k but I feel amazing!
Really worth a shot if you’re thinking of getting back out again but need a more instant reward than C25K gives you. It’s so daunting as I think it’s not until week 5 maybe that you’d run that long on C25K but I did it and it was so worth it!!
It looks like it’s a 4 week plan to build stamina rather than worrying too much about speed and distance, the goal is just to get out and run!!
