What's your workout routine

Im looking to get into a good exercise routine. I exercise sometimes but don't have good routine.

What is yours like?

I was thinking doing Pilates 2x a week, a 5k 3 times a week and then something else like tennis, long walk, hill walk or paddle boarding on another day? What do you think? I worry it is too much as you hear about too much exercise ruining your metabolism.

Also how much more do you eat on days that you exercise?

TIA

3x body pump classes and lots of walking. I have dogs. I’m slightly addicted to body pump. It’s very effective.

Hour and a half walk outside on non rainy days or hour on treadmil when it is rainy outside .
Have kettle bells dotted about the place and do 25 reps with them as I head past them . The one in the bathroom is lightest as I go there most !

4 spin classes, 3 days strength training, at least 2 5-7 mile walks and pilates.

I think I'm a bit addicted to body pump as well!

In winter (because its dark) I run once a week and hike (fast) up a mountain once a week.
In summer I ramp it up to maybe 2 runs and 2 hikes.
I always eat well though and don't switch to comfort eating in winter.
Oh and I do a 40 min dog walk 3 or 4 times a week (my husband does the other days).

I'm currently following a 6 day split:

Chest + triceps
Back + biceps (I tack on some RDL's)
Shoulders + calves
Legs + glutes
rest
Chest/tri's
Back/bi's (and RDL's)
Shoulders/calves
Legs/glutes (I don't do squats and lunges, so focus on rdl's, step ups, hip thrusts, I use Caroline Girvan for leg/glute day)
rest
Repeat.

I use youtuber MiDASMVMT and have gone down a size since starting 3 months ago. I use to powerlift many moons ago (including squats and lunges), but stopped and picked up lifting again after 3 years. Cardio comes in the form of me not having a license, so walk everywhere and do walk away the pounds.

1 x PT session a week, 3 x 5k runs, maybe one shorter online workout a week (eg pilates, HIIT, barre, boxercise). Then daily I do lots of micro exercises throughout the day when I get a spare minute eg squats, lunges, balancing on one leg. I also do a few basic stretches and a 30 sec plank every day

Everyday I run 3 to 5 miles in the morning time.
10 times doing Jump jack workout
15 Pullups.

I do 3-5 bootcamps a week, which are a mix of body weights, weights, HIIT, cardio and occasionally circuit training.
I also do one yoga class a week to stay supple and improve balance.

In a normal week I do:

  • Swim x4
  • Bike Indoors x2/3 (summer v winter)
  • Bike Outdoors x2 (summer only)
  • Run x3
  • Weights in the gym x2

All told it's about 14/15 hours a week.
