Peloton bike- thinking of purchasing?

I'm thinking of purchasing a peloton bike. What are people's thoughts on them?
Does anybody have a £100 referral code to use?
Thanks :)

It’s brilliant and has made a massive difference to my life…so much so we bought the tread on Monday!! The bike is a great price now.

AgnesNaismith · 04/09/2021 21:42

That first line is the referral code if you weren’t sure Grin

xxxPandora · 04/09/2021 21:45

Ah thanks so much. Yes the reduced price has finally tempted me as I've wanted one for ages!
I've tried your referral code but unfortunately it's saying it's not valid :(

First come first serve on the referral code. But definitely second the recommendation!

AgnesNaismith · 04/09/2021 21:48

I have another - sorry hold on!

xxxPandora · 04/09/2021 21:49

Ah bless you, thank you.

Also for the bike, would you recommend purchasing the shoes?

AgnesNaismith · 04/09/2021 21:51

Argh no that’s so weird apparently that’s our permanent referral code - not sure why it isn’t working Confused

AgnesNaismith · 04/09/2021 21:52

We have the cages so that dc can use it but if I’m honest, they haven’t!! I would say the shoes improve your metrics and are probably better than the cages.

If you do want cages you have to call the sales line as they don’t sell them through the shop.

Piffpaffpoff · 04/09/2021 21:55

It’s definitely better/more efficient if you are clipped in. You don’t need to buy the Peleton shoes, any cycling shoes that match the pedal type will do. If you google cycle shoes for Peleton you’ll get some suggestions.

AgnesNaismith · 04/09/2021 21:55

If mine doesn’t work join the ‘U.K. Ladies Peloton’ page on Facebook and ask for their group code!

PUU63Q here is my referral code if you still need one

We invested in ours after Christmas when the gyms closed again. Me and my husband both use it. Love the convenience - before I had to book a suitable class or get up early at the weekend to go to a class then travel to the gym and then travel home for a shower. Now I can go out whenever I feel like it - first thing in the morning, after dinner, whenever - and do 20/30 mins and straight up to shower after. It is also more comfortable at home as I have a fan blowing straight on me - the spin studio at my local gym was so stuffy and sweaty. Have started using light weights and doing the cycling classes with arms which is great also. The endorphins you get after a class are amazing.

AgnesNaismith · 04/09/2021 22:23

I bloody hated the gym, I know no one looks at other people but didn’t stop me from feeling horribly self conscious. The convenience, the instructors and the quality of the bike is what I like! Not sure how I’d ever cope if Cody left though.

starlingsintheslipstream · 04/09/2021 22:28

The referral codes are usually only valid on the accessories, not the basic price of the bike. We bought the bike last year and used a code from the UK Ladies Facebook page for the purchase of the shoes/mat/heart rate monitor and earphone package.

I love ours. It has really improved my fitness and the way I feel. I wasn't a gym user but really rate the classes - there's something for everyone. I'd also recommend joining the UK Ladies on Facebook - they use the vouchers they gain through referrals for prizes for challenges and it's all good natured and supportive.

Another referral code if anyone is looking Smile

I’ve had my bike for a year now and love it! I hated exercise before Grin

xxxPandora · 04/09/2021 22:30

Eeeek I've just purchased the bike!

@AgnesNaismith- I've just used your code- thank you so much. I'm so grateful. Hopefully you'll benefit from it too to get some new accessories for your new treadmill etc! I realised I needed to add an accessory or purchase the bike with with accessories instead of the basic package. Decided to add the shoes.

Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to reply.

Another quick question, I'm a Uk8 shoe size so ordered that size in Peloton shoes. Just wondering if they come up small/large?

Thanks so much @xxxPandora we’re going through a bit of Covid right now (just before the schools go back!!) so that’s massively cheered me up!! Hope you love it and PM me if you want a follow - definitely join the U.K. ladies group too. Smile

NameChangeinHaste · 04/09/2021 22:34

I’m a size 8 and wear a Peloton 42… they’re incredibly comfortable- as long as I’m. It walking on a hard surface!

Welcome to the club!

starlingsintheslipstream · 04/09/2021 22:35

You won't regret your purchase - they are a good price at the moment. Buy a fan - it's a must!

Elieza · 04/09/2021 22:38

How much does it all cost, purchase and subscription charges and what have you?

CockapooMum · 04/09/2021 22:42

@Elieza

It's £39 a month subscription on top of the purchase price. I found it cheaper using a code and buying a package.

My code is FQQTNK** if anyone is looking for a code to use. You get £100 off the bike and I get a voucher for the apparel shop.

There's a great community on Facebook called UK Ladies Peloton. I've had mine since Feb and love it.

To add to what CockapooMum said, we are a family of 5 so have 5 profiles for that £39. 3 of us use it every day so I think it's pretty good value for that.
