Do they help motivate you?

Maybe.... I was just looking at height x width. t'Internet says apple watch 6 has depth 10.4 mm, and fitbit charge 4 has depth 12.5mm. 2mm is difference.

I love mine - but not as a watch..I have a fitbit inspire 2 hr ( and previously a fitbit zip) that you wear on a clip - I wear mine on my bra but I suspect you could use a waist band . It's central so less false moves ( my sisters watch adds steps for brushing her hair teeth etc)
Also it's out of my way. Still get the buzz for steps though.. does heart rate etc

I think it is motivating. I've def changed my habits

My running watch, yes. It tells me how far I'm running and how fast, as well as doing heart rate etc, which is all pretty vital info when I'm training.

I'm not bothered about step counting, sleep tracking and all that sort of stuff, so ordinary fitness watches don't do it for me.

Not sure why some pps are saying exercise has very little bearing on weight loss though. That's simply not true, if you do a lot of it.
