Balance board

Thinking of getting a balance board, the sort that's like a surf board on a roller.
Does anyone have one, is it good for core stability?
I have back pain that's waking me up early every morning so really want to work on my core. I'm borrowing a wobble board off a friend today to see if I'll actually use it as they are expensive.
Also anyone got any recommendations?

I've got a Bosu board thingy - like half a big exercise ball attached to a board
It was £25 delivered from eBay with a pump
It's used for planks and sit ups etc
Bit bulky but useful

@ditavonteesed how did you get on with the wobble board? I also need to work on my core for back pain so I'm intrigued to know if these work.

I’ve used one but not for back pain. I’d recommend seeing a physio for an hour instead though and get some exercises to strengthen your back and get them to massage it to get rid of any tension in there. I had a horrible sore shoulder for years and it was 80% better after just one session.
