Cycling newbie - pain!

So I've bought myself an exercise bike and I'm keen to get fitter. However even at low intensity I'm getting quite unplesant pain down the back of both legs and I have to keep stopping and standing up and stretching it out. Its kind of from just below my bum to my knees, then a bit in my calves too. Any ideas which bit of me is likely to be complaining? And what I can do to sooth it? If it doesn't ease off I'm never going to be able to cycle for more than 5 minutes!!

Check your seat height, you should only have a slight bend in your knee when your foot is at the bottom of the pedal stroke. Also do some dynamic stretching before you start your workout.

Thanks, I'll check that

@ ConfidenceCrisis44 How did you get on? Did either of those suggestions help?
