Anything better than Ultimate Run Bra?

I know that this has been done to death but I can't seem to find the threads. So many apologies.

I have always had the Ultimate Run bras from Shock Absorber but wondered if there was anything better out there? I'm a C/D cup and although they do the job I don't think that they are great. I've seen this Nike www.nike.com/gb/t/alpha-ultrabreathe-high-support-sports-bra-W4f5TW/CZ4451-010
one and wondered if anyone rates it, or has any other suggestions.

Many thanks!

I think both the Panache and the Freya underwired are better than Shock Absorber Run, but they're very different styles (and I have all 3, which I wear depending on how far I'm going and how "strapped in" I want to feel!)

The Panache and the Freya underwired are bulkier bras, because they provide all-round support and encapsulate you in cups, more like a "normal" bra. The support is brilliant, but they are firmer and bigger bras for that. Whereas the Shock Absorbers are lighter and stretchier, and don't have underwire as, instead of encapsulating boobs individually, they just strap you down so you can't bounce.

There are pros and cons of both but in general I prefer Freya/Panache for the extra support. Shock Absorber is fine for a more lightweight option.

I've tried lots of others over the years too. People rave about Enell (similar to Shock Absorber, only with hooks at the front) but those bras rubbed me horrendously.

As I have a small ribcage and weirdly big cup size I don't get on with Nike, Ronhill, Brooks and other sports-type brands as they don't tend to be supportive enough in my size, but as a C you may be OK 🙂

Thank you so much for your reply. I’ll have a look at the Freya.

I ordered A LOT of sports bras recently from Bravissimo in the quest for non sore boobs. The ultimate run was okay for me but not brilliant and I’d ache sometimes after exercise.

The ones I kept were a shock absorber:

And this Panache one:

Both are great. I’m a 34E and use them for running.

I can't believe how supportive these are for the price. I'm a 38D and everything stays firmly in place when running

I have ff boobs and my shock absorber bra literally pins them down, they don't move at all!

Chocolateteabag · 02/03/2021 20:48

I love my Shock absorbers.

I do have an Enell from years ago - it's like a corset for boobs! 10 hook and eyes to do up the front while the puppies fight for freedom!
Hell to get on, but nothing moves once it's on. I used to wear it for zumba back when that was a thing.
It's still there for the odd day when I've not kept on the washing but
the shock absorbers are much more convenient

I like my runderwear bra.

More than ultimate I should have said.

This one, it’s amazing.

There’s a really good online shop called boobydoo. They stock loads of different sports bra makes and are really helpful over the phone too
