Squatting but not getting sweaty

Hi I've started doing 50 squats a day. I do them in 5 sets of 10. They burn my thigh muscle when I do them but I don't get sweaty or hurt the next day. I do find them tough and I stop at 10 for the burn

Is this normal? I'm doing just regular squats no weights

You could increase the number, ie 25 at a time. To get sweaty is ambitious with such a limited exercise but if you did them quickly, you might raise your heart rate.

They’re still really good for hip and leg strength, but if that’s all you're doing your body will get used to it.

Try different styles of squats, or add weights. And definitely add more variety!

Jump squats, or squat jacks, rocket squats are involve a bit more cardio.

You won't get sweaty after 10 squats. You need to increase intensity and duration if you want to get sweaty! Try doing squat jumps - 20 of those will work up a sweat.

Try some of these variations, some of them will get your heart rate up and help you get a sweat on Grin
