Please recommend a workout Youtuber for cardio and core

I am not very fit, but BMI is fine - I want to find a great YouTube or free/cheap videos for cardio and pilates/core focused exercises.
Ideally:
15-20 mins including brief warmup (some have separate warm up videos)
NO WAFFLY CHAT, just get on with the workout! And not the same thing over and over, vary it a bit please.
Not too many push-ups (if any)

Basically I have a slim frame but still have a pregnant-looking tummy (several years postpartum) and a bit too much chub around my middle (and chin/face but I'm assuming can't do much about that other than concerted weight loss effort).

I've been enjoying Kit Rich but her videos are quite long and I'm not too interested in spending time targeting arms/glutes etc although as part of all the other stuff it's fine.

I also do a live (Zoom) pilates class which is nice and gently and helps me think about correct form etc.

From her previous thread I'd appreciate any advice from @tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz !

Thank you all, hopefully I can find time to do more of the shorter workouts than I'm managing with the 1-2 30+ mins ones.

Are these mainly yoga? I've never really done any. Is there any cardio? I'll give it a look though...

My teenager recommends Chloe Ting!

Chloe Ting. Her workouts are doable and the flat stomach challenge worked for me in lockdown

Thanks for this - reading the DVD reviews it looks like there's 3 workouts, so do you do level 1 for a few days then level 2 etc?

Body fit by Amy. Loads of different types of workout and varying in length from 10 minutes to much longer ones.

BadGuyDuh · 23/01/2021 23:20

Never heard of Chloe Ting but looked her up - looks nice and manageable in terms of being able to see/choose what I'm getting! Thank you!

I also love Bodyfit by Amy. She has specific videos on diastasis recti which I'd recommend to check whether you need to repair any ab separation. Going straight in with a plank for instance can cause more damage.

She provides DR-safe alternatives in her workouts and reminds you to 'zip up' your core before exercises.

She's also relasing TONS of new content at the moment which is great. I promise this isn't an ad :D

This is a good one

EuroTrashed · 25/01/2021 11:53

Boho Beautiful has lots of pilates in amongst the yoga. Some of them are really tough and you need to be aware of / capable of more than the basics.
My kids are all over chloe Ting at the moment and I joined in a cardio workout of hers yesterday (all over body; other child prefers area-specific to build a package workout) - it was v much like Joe Wicks in terms of content but much pacier, great variety of exercises but absolutely zero in terms of correct form - again, you need to know a bit or you'll damage your neck / not get the full benefit.
(Have you downloaded the Nike Training app? that has a fantastic range of workouts, no equipment necessary)

MadFit on You tube

BadGuyDuh · 01/02/2021 21:58

Thanks everyone! I have given Chloe Ting a try, it seems very 'scattergun' just doing one thing then moving to the next and not revisiting anything - is this the norm with HIIT or whatever it is?

I do like the variety but my main problem is that she doesn't talk through form and it's so quick I feel I'm not getting much benefit unless I 'get' the moves straight away.

I'll have a look at Amy too!

Really recommend Heather Robertson. Lots of HIIT and different types of workouts. She doesn’t talk in a distracting way (there is just music). She has a 12 week workout plan or you can just dip in and out of what you want or if you look on her website you can sign up for free and she sends a new workout calendar out each month.

Pamela Reif / Rief

Dumpyandabdabs · 02/02/2021 19:04

I use pop sugar fitness on you tube. There are lots of different trainers on there that do a variety of workouts and times. Jeanette Jenkins is a great one for cardio (can't promise also press ups though!)

Yeah, that's where I started and found Kit Rich. I didn't like some of the others as much and there are so many! I'll look for JJ.

I came on to say this. Absolutely love her workouts Smile
Rollergirl11 · 09/02/2021 14:36

I really like Heather Robertson too. Although DD and I have done them all so much that the music is starting to drive us slightly insane! We also do Chloe Ting, Pamela Reif and Growinggananas (although find hers ever so slightly boring).

Does anyone know of any other fitness channels in a similar vein to the above?

Gubanc · 09/02/2021 14:38

I'd also recommend Heather Robertson. No waffling for half an hour before a workout.

BadGuyDuh · 16/03/2021 11:20

Just thought I'd report back. Thanks for the Bodyfit by Amy recommendations, as I think that's just what I'm looking for! Have done a few and they are manageable and include brief warm ups and stretches within the video, unlike some.

I wasn't previously aware of these super-efficient ones like Chloe Ting - I can see they have a place but despite saying 'no waffle' I like being talked through the exercises rather than the silent approach, where there is not much 'wriggle room'! But the variety of videos is good. I'll probably end up doing a mix depending what i feel like.

I still love Kit Rich with the pilates fusion but they often are over 35 mins, have a separate warm up/cool down and often use equipment I don't have. But I do a few of hers regularly.
