I need to up-date my running playlist with a few new tracks to power through the colder/darker evenings- does anyone have any suggestions? Any favorites that help get them through a hard run? I generally enjoy a wide spectrum of genres so happy for any and all suggestions! Thanks!

Mr Blue Sky by ELO
There's something about the rhythm that just keeps me running...

Magic by Mozella is a very bright uplifting song in the same vein.

I have Plug In Baby, Knights of Cydonia, and Butterflies to Hurricanes by Muse too Grin

dragula by Rob Zombie. That whole album is pretty good for running

Spudlet · 10/12/2020 12:04

Waterloo by ABBA. It just makes me want to dance along!

Not Giving In by Rudimental, Come Together by Franky Wah, Sweet Dreams by Beyoncé but if I'm slow and steady Run by Snow Patrol or Audio Bully's I'm In Love

Sidge · 10/12/2020 12:15

I like clubby tracks, that get me fired up.

Blinding Lights - The Weeknd

Waiting All Night - Rudimental (helps me power up hills!)

C’mon - Tieste

Untouched - The Veronicas (has a good beat to keep step to)

I run to a playlist on Spotify called Cycling Music 2020....it's perfect for me, dance and club music.

Muse! Why didn’t I think of Muse? I went through a big Muse phase when I was at uni and I loved them. Probably because uni was such a long time ago I forgot all about them Grin Thanks for the suggestion!

Walking on sunshine is on mine too!
Anything super upbeat, currently a lot of frozen 2 songs and s club 7. The friends theme works well too. Nostalgic happy tunes.

nbee84 · 10/12/2020 13:34

Just had a browse through mine;

Good Feeling - Flo Rida
Pump it - Black Eyed Peas
Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalifa
Power- Kanye West
Red Alert - Basement Jaxx
U Don't Know Me - Armand Van Helden
Redemption - Sigma

And now I'm feeling Sad as I haven't been able to run since September due to a knee injury.

HmmSureJan · 10/12/2020 13:35

Runnin'- Naughty Boy featuring Beyoncé.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 10/12/2020 13:37

Chasing Pavements - Adele

Won't stop till it's over (Sweet Disposition) - Temper Trap

Helped motivate me during the last couple of miles of training runs for the Paris Marathon albeit in 2010

@IveSeenThings all on mine too...knights of cydonia what a track! Now I’ve got it in my head just the beginning, going to be my ear worm for rest of the day
IveSeenThings · 10/12/2020 14:30

@Spongebobsquarefringe We call it "Electro Stallions" in our house, as a sort of homage to Bill & Ted's... Blush

My DS is obsessed with this album- he went to his first ever drumming lesson, and when the teacher asked what he'd like to begin with, what songs he knew...he said "Assassin"!

Sorry, none of that is about running...
I do like to run around curves, and down hills to the opening glissando Grin

Spongebobsquarefringe · 10/12/2020 20:25

@IveSeenThings you’re doing parenting right. My daughter is obsessed with the song pressure, that’s another good one for running.

I downhill running only because I imagine to the people driving past I look really fast because I’ve got hill speed, bit of muse in the ear I feel bad ass, then usually get home and cry into my banana Grin
