  1. Just decided I needed to lose weight after having kids. I had been swimming a few months before that. Come from a family that think money spent on stuff like that is a waste and exercise was never encouraged.

19 at uni.

I dabbled in the gym scene late teens to mid twenties then hit it hard about 29, now 34 and I'm obsessed with an outdoor bootcamp

39!

15, we used to go to supervised sessions with our rugby club as you couldn’t go alone until you were 16.

I have never used a gym (if by that you mean weights etc) and I'm nearly 50. I swim several times a week (so happy the pools are open again!) which I've done on and off since childhood and I do yoga which I've done since I was about 30.

More usefully... DD1 is 12 and our local gym does a weekend session for kids, she's usually playing football with her team so doesn't go much but her friends go regularly.

As a teenager as I took interest in weightlifting.

  1. I'm 37 now and can't afford it but miss it so much.
TweeBree · 20/08/2020 07:26

Our local leisure centre had 'teen nights', so I started going around 14.

14, my local athletics coach took me. Loved it and still do. My family encouraged sporty activities, and I do the same with my dc

  1. Twice. Awful place.
Spodge · 22/08/2020 17:46

37, but only dabbled with the cardio machines. Starting using a gym "properly" aged 48 and have never looked back. Love it.
