How do you get through injury - emotional fallout

I took up running a year ago. Never loved it but carried on every other day (4-6 miles) and have realised that it has become pretty important to how I feel physically and mentally.

A couple of weeks ago I developed pain in my knee and have had to give up running for a while as every time I go out it gets worse. So my problem is twofold: what do I replace it with when the gym/ swimming pool is still closed and the roads where I live are too busy for cycling and, more importantly, how do I cope with the emotional aspect?

Thanks!

You could try low impact HIIT/ Pilates/ yoga. All available on YouTube.

You could try fitness blender, they have loads of different videos. Have you got someone who can watch your form? So that you don't injure yourself. If you've not done any exercise of this type I'd suggest finding a PT who is doing zoom classes, that way they can watch you and adjust your form/posture

Maybe a rowing machine?

That doesn't sound like an injury, fingers crossed, maybe overuse or your form is slightly off?

Physios and PTs are allowed to see people in person now so definitely worth getting someone to check if your running is a bit wonky

I was reading this today: www.chirunning.com/blog/how-to-prevent-knee-injury-and-knee-pain/

cause guess what Wink, my knee was sore from running... and i think i do a couple of the Bad Things listed on there
