Severe pain in feet

Does anyone know what's wrong?

Whenever I do long walks/run I get severe pain in my feet afterwards. Not a sharp pain but a constant pain.
Pain is located halfway up my foot and towards the rear of my foot and heel.
It's been like this for years and isn't helped by wearing good quality running shoes.

@Hopingtobeamum Could it be plantar fascitis? (spelled wrong!) I got this a couple of years ago when using the calf raise machine in the gym - I was being lazy and thought I'd be OK using the massive weights that the previous user hadn't bothered to remove . I felt a ping in my calf muscle then next day pain like you describe. The only way I resolved it was to start wearing insoles in my flat shoes, trainers and boots. Only cheap ones from local chemist but it makes a difference. However I'm 51 so at an age when arch supports begin to droop (like everything else!!)

Could you get to a physio for a proper assessment?

Hi @Blobby10 I did wonder but didn't want to Dr. google it!
Good shout re physio, I have one I use locally so I'll give him a shout! Thanks for the tip.
At my age everything too is starting to break. Drives you mad doesn't it!
