I’m really tempted to buy one, is it worth the extra cost ?

I bought a used Les Mills bar, but only because that was all I could get. Gym equipment has been hard to come by or has shot up in price since the gyms closed. I've used the Les Mills bars at gyms and have used other makes at some gyms. The smart bars are good, quick to get the weights on and off between tracks BUT they are very expensive and I could really do with some extra plates. The other bars I've use have been absolutely fine. Look for some with spring fit collars for ease of use. Also check the maximum weight they can take if you are on the stronger side, some will only take up to 20kg and ideally I'd squat with 25-30kg.

Thanks nbee84, At £425 including postage I just couldn’t justify paying the extra even though I really wanted it, hopefully in the future. I managed to get a set for £125 which has the spring collars like you recommend (I’ve used them in the gym too).
