Couch to 5k

I just got home from the first run on the couch to 5k app and it nearly killed me. I used to be really active but having gained a few stone/ now being overweight etc, I definately am not any more. Does anyone know if it gets easier?

I'm worried about this, had a baby 16 months ago, used to run 5k regularly but I'm now two stone heavier.

Sorry no advice but well done for doing the first run

@Pippinsqueak thank you. That's exactly the same as me but my baby is 19 months. Smile

I wouldn’t say it gets easier but it is doable if you just stick with it. I’m not a runner, nearly 47 and struggle with asthma snd start week 9 tomorrow. I end each run a sweaty knackered mess but I have finished every single run and it feels great. I took the pressure off by reminding myself I could repeat a week at anytime, Aldo kept my pace fairly slow.

You can do it!
