Peleton

Hi, I am thinking about leaving the gym (after lockdown!) and investing in a peleton bike instead. Would you say it’s worth the money? Are there live classes early in the morning? Do you feel you neglect your upper body with a peleton or are the arms workouts on the bike good enough? It’s such an investment I want to make sure it’s totally right for me :) thanks!

Hi @Beachcountrysidetown, we love our Peloton. For us, now wfh for the foreseeable future, it’s been a godsend to keep us sane & fit in lockdown & well worth the money.

At the moment, the Peloton studios are closed so live rides are in the afternoon, but they’re re-opening this week so there should start to be a choice of morning rides. In all honesty, I rarely do live rides as the on-demand ones are great. There’s a busy U.K. Facebook group who arrange to ride at the same time so it’s “live” with a leaderboard, I often join the morning ride at 7.15am.

The app comes with loads of non-bike classes - walking, running, strength, meditation, yoga & stretching - so you can do strength & yoga classes to make sure you get an upper body workout in. I’ve been doing kettlebells 3x weekly (not Peloton) as I like them.

Hope that helps. If you like, I can share a referral code which will get you £100 off the accessories (shoes etc) - let me know.

Wow @jcurve that’s so kind I’d love the code if that’s possible?
I think I’m going to go for it, I’m worried they say that the delivery people can’t come into your home to set it up because of covid so I might wait till the lockdown is lifted. It’s a great review you’ve given me and thanks so much for all the tips :)
