Shorts for exercise, for the large of bottom?

Hi,
I’m trying to find a pair of flattering shorts for exercising. I’m a 14-16 on the bottom half and very pear shaped with quite solid hips/thighs (good ankles though! Grin)

I’d like to feel good about how I look when I’m working out so looking for something flattering. Does any one have any suggestions? Are those layered ones with cycling shorts underneath normal shorts any good? They look a bit sweaty!
Thank you!!!

I like the ones with the cycling shorts attached under. It means they cover the cellulite area and the shorts bit is loose and cool.

Thank you! I think I’ll order a pair to try. I like the idea of cellulite coverage...

I have a pair with longer Lycra shorts inside and they’re a nightmare! I’ve never been sure if they’re too big, too small or just the wrong shape for my legs (I think the Lycra it needs to be longer for me) but they ride up constantly and drive me crazy.

I did try on about 10 styles/brands in sports direct before choosing 2 that flattered. The rest looked awful. So there definitely is variation.

Just wanted to return to thank you all - my pair from m&s arrived and have been given a good test in a workout. I’m very pleased with them!

I have a similar predicament OP huge bum & thighs and my back sort of curves in at thewaist so if things fit on the bum/thighs there'll be a large pocket of fabric sticking out at the back🙈 Which M&S shorts did you buy?
