Running injury help

I’m fairly new to running and finished C25K a few weeks ago. Since then I’ve been gradually increasing distance and doing some intervals once a week to try and get speed up. Anyway, I’ve Done Something to my quad area and I’ve no idea what to do next. It’s a really sharp pain which is particularly bad just after I stand up. When I’m walking it seems to be worst when I lift my leg rather than weight bear but tbh it’s hard to tell. I went for a run yesterday though (first noticed it on Friday) and it didn’t hurt while running although very noticeable after and I’ve woken up today and it’s very sore.

I’ve no idea where to go from here! I’m assuming I need to stay off it for a bit but how long? I suppose I would normally try and see a physio or something but obviously that’s not on the cards for now. All suggestions gratefully received Smile

I injured myself a few weeks ago while out running trying to avoid a dog 🙈 and my physio was open for video calls. Obviously not as good as seeing someone face to face but I got the advice I needed. Might be worth ringing someone local to you to ask?

Thanks that’s a good idea
