Running on treadmill

I'm on holiday and would like to run, to counteract a day spent on the beach Wink. It's too hot to run outside so have used the treadmill in the gym, but haven't a clue what settings to use! I haven't run for a while anyway so just now ran for 30 minutes non-stop, starting at 5 and then increasing to 7 with 5 minutes or so on a slight incline. I have no idea if it was mikes or km but managed 3.5 whatever after the 30 mins run and 5 mins cool down. For reference my last parkrun was last November with a time of about 26 mins. What is a comfortable pace to run at on a treadmill?! Sorry if this seems like a daft question .... I know how I feel running outside but it's very different inside on a machine.

Sounds like the treadmill is mph. The ones I use are km and 5 is a medium walking pace and 7 is a very gentle jog.

So 30 mins run and 5 mins cool down, I'd say you covered 3.5 miles.

Thank you Smile. I hoped it might be miles as it seemed to take about 10 minutes (clearly!) and that felt rather depressing if it was Km. I'd hoped to run 5 km and am pleased to find that I could do it pretty easily.
