I'm nervous.

Do I need to take a mat?

It's at a David Lloyd centre.

Any tips?
I get anxious about trying new things but making myself give it a go

They'll provide mats, but if you prefer your own then it's fine to take one. I like to take a small towel and some water. Get there 10 mins early - the instructor is normally keen to have a quick chat to anyone new to see what level you're at, any injuries etc.

Not sure if you've done anything similar before, my first class I was surprised it was barefoot and tried to keep socks on (I don't like my feet!) but kept slipping!

Don't worry about the super-bendy people who are bound to be there, a good instructor will give you levels so don't feel bad about sticking to the easiest one and doing what you can (unless you are one of the super-bendy people of course).

Enjoy!

Thanks Spider, small towel is a great idea. I hope I love it!
