Best Bluetooth headphones where you can still be aware of your environment??

I’m after some Bluetooth headphones to run with but the last ones I bought had noise cancellation and I felt so unsafe. I couldn’t hear anything around me so hated crossing roads or running along roads and paths.
I also want ones that are comfortable.
I am looking at £50 and under but to be honest I’d pay more if they worked and I could keep them a while.

Thanks!

I have a pair of treks titanium bone conductor headphones which I wear when I'm running at night.

Aftershokz Titanium - I have the mini ones and fit perfectly. I think have recently been reduced in price due to newer model. When I first used them I was astonished how they worked! I ran today at it was very windy, I was listening to an audio book and I had to turn the volumn up more than normal due to the wind but could still hear cars approaching etc.

Aftershokz Titanium I have the newest ones they were £150 but I got them for 100 last week
Totally amazing I can hear around me perfectly
More importantly as I use mine on the tradmill and in the gym they do not move or fall out
Having had numerous headphones from expensive Dr Dre Beats 3 Apple AirPods and cheap £30 one from Argos. .These are the best ones ever
I actually find I enjoy excercising much more now I don’t have to keep Adjusting them or they fall out

I have little ears so have always struggled to get decent headphone that are comfortable and all my others have always hurt my ears
But these don’t hurt at all and I wear them for at least an hour or more every day

I have recently got some Aftershokz bone conducting headphones and they are brill as I can hear all around me and hear my music perfectly too. And no issues with buds falling out which has always been an issue for me

Oooh I’m going to save up and buy some!

SE112 SOUND ISOLATING™ EARPHONES.

Yes, they are sound isolating, but they don't have active noise cancellation. Also have incredible sound quality, and are on offer at the moment! Scroll to bottom of page in the link, you want the K-EFS-BT1 version (Bluetooth wireless).

Yep, Treks Titanium always get a well deserved near unaminous suggestion.
They are clear, secure, comfortable, reliable, easy to use and control and generally allowed in races.

I have aftershox and they are great but the big downside is what the heck do you do with the flippin' power button as it dangles from your phone + doesn't fit into the arm sleeve I use. Any tips for that please?

irunlikeahipoo · 15/01/2019 09:30

I have the latest Aftershokz and there is nothing dangling from it. The power buttons /control buttons are in the headset

CMOTDibbler · 15/01/2019 10:08

No dangling bits on mine either!

AuntieStella · 15/01/2019 23:25

Only the wired Aftershokz (Sportz Titanium) have dangly bits.

The wireless ones are Trekz Titanium (which I have) and the new model Trekz Air, and both are controlled on the headpiece itself.

I use KS Ribbons.. DP got them for me for Christmas, and I think they're brilliant! Only form Tesco (Sainsburys/Argos too) and £20-£30.. they don't fall out, I can still hear what's going on around me, and the battery lasts ages!
