Please recommend me a band to keep my glasses on whilst running

Hi. I'm finding I'm putting off running sometimes due to the faff of putting my contacts in. Can anyone recommend me a good sports band? When I've googled, the reviews are so conflicting. Many thanks.

Like a hair band you mean? I use Hygge, they keep my sunglasses on.

My glasses slip off constantly so I do need something, just not sure what. I live in lenses but don't want to put them in for an early run.

What prescription are you? I'm - 1.75 and just run blind, without glasses or lenses.... I figure as long as I can see cars I'll be ok. Grin

Properly fitted glasses shouldn't come off when running! Get to your optician first, especially as it's free. I find mine slip down my nose when they need tightening.

Wilkos sell some reasonable ones for around £4, or amazon have multipacks and various colours ranging from around £1 each to £15. :)

Go get your glasses adjusted, they should not be slipping. In the meantime, any headband helps, hygge should work too

Thanks. I wear them in bed to read whilst lying down and I think it makes them go out of shape. They're the plastic frames so don't have the nose thing. I'll just try some cheap straps and see how I get on.

Yes the Hygge bands keep my sunglasses on my head. My regular glasses don't fall off but my prescription sunglasses are really badly fitted.

I got some neoprene ones off Amazon this year after 5 years of not using them and it's so much better!

My 14yo DD is a goalkeeper and glasses wearer - so lots of diving around in her glasses. She uses these:

I'm a distance runner and a glasses wearer. Mine are cheap £40 ASDA glasses and I've never had an issue with then slipping off when running.

You could try a headband though. I use headbands to keep my earphones in. They should keep glasses in place too.

Decathlon sell neoprene ones that hold sunglasses on when windsurfing etc, even when you off (so you don't lose them at every dunking). I guess they'd be secure enough for running.

Adding a buff as a headband wouid make them even more secure (and warm ears are good for morale at this time of year)
