Beginner's tips for less wobbly thighs please

Hi everyone,

So I'm fairly slim, however I recently discovered I have rather wobbly not-toned upper thighs with the beginnings of cellulite.

I fully admit to not really exercising at all except the odd walk or go on Just Dance.

Is there anything I can do at home to try and tone my thighs up? I'm a complete novice and admittedly lazy, so any lazy-girl tips would be amazing! Grin

Run. Brilliant for toning legs.

Add Pirates andor weights for greater sculpting

WowOoo · 10/11/2018 19:44

Yes, AuntieStella but Pirates smell a bit sometimes! I can't run anymore because of an injury. Wish I could as it's cheap and helps all legs, bum, arms and your head.

Do you own a bike? If so, get on it!

I was thinking of getting a second hand bike actually (something I can do in my lounge!) Thank you :)

Squats and lunges.

I follow drkellyfitmomof4 on Instagram. She does some really good stuff.

Sculpting legs is best achieved by doing a type of squat, lunge and hip dominant exercise. Also this combined with good nutrition will help you get the look you desire.

A simple effective beginners leg workout might be

Eg beginners might be 1. body weight squat 8 x 3

  1. reverse lunges 8 x 3
  2. Glute bridge 15 x 3

I've recently toned my legs & bum by walking 10k steps and doing squats daily.

Oops Blush

Though of course, crab walking, clam lifts and the plank might all help!

I had awful cellulite, even though I did pilates / rock climbed / hiked etc. The only thing that finally helped me reduce it was a calorie controlled diet (maintenance for my height) washed down with plenty of water.

Power plate!

Well I've got a bike on the way and sounds like squats are needed! Thanks everyone :)
