Consdering a new gym

I used to be a regular gym goer and really enjoyed it. I fell off the gym wagon big time and since then have made a few attempts to get back into it. Tried a couple of other gyms and for one reason and another they have not suited or are no longer convenient.

A new 'boutique' gym has opened almost next door to my work, so excuses there. It is very different from my usual huge gym (and more expensive). It does small group HIT and strength classes, strength trianing etc. It doesn't have regular cardio equipment, just the treadmills you power yourself etc.

Wondering if anyone has joined this sort of gym and how they found it. The plus is there is no joining fee or fixed term contract, so I suppose I could try it for a month. They have offered me a weeks free trial, which I will try.

I really want to get my gym mojo back and wondering if this might give me the kick I need.

It sounds like it could be good for you, especially with the free trial. A combination of strength and HIIT classes ticks boxes for fitness. It is good if it is near work. You could schedule 'appointments' to go straight from or before work several times a week.
