300 miles in September

Anyone joined pledged to complete 300 miles cycling for September on strava?

Not yet, but was thinking about it. There is the Cancer Research 300 as well, but I have a sponsored even this month so not going to ask folks twice! Might do 300 as personal challenge though :)

Oh that’s good 😊 I’m want complete 300 miles before 29 September as it’ll be the 20th anniversary of my mum passing, sadly cancer 😪

I’ve done 104 miles so 196 left

I saw a fully grown monkjac on tonight’s ride ☺️

Sounds like a really good way to remember your mum.

I have 27 miles only so far, but a 100k ride this Friday which will bump up the distance. I saw a steam train but sadly only squashed wildlife !

Is your 100km an event or club ride?
I have a regular Wednesday club ride so will ride another 20 miles tonight, then hoping to go to Ashbourne on Saturday & get some hilly miles 🚴‍♀️

Its an event tomorrow - Barclays Wheels for Change. In aid of Princes Trust. I am riding with a few colleagues. Start/finish at the olympic park in Stratford and through Epping Forest.

Ashbourne is hilly :) I have family in Derbyshire, trying to work out a weekend to have a nice ride in that part of world. The tour of britian is going past my parents on Sat but think too much of a dash to get there !

It’s looking wet in Derbyshire for the weekend, so will stay where I am for dryer weather and find some hills

ToB came through yesterday but didn’t manage to catch any

I’ve been out tonight so am now half way through my pledge & have 159 miles left

I’m going to keep going to see how many miles I can enjoy before the end of the month, it’s good weather next week & im finishing at 4 so maybe able to get a few afternoon rides in before the dusk really draws in

Had a great ride today, did it as part as Rapha 100 ladies day. 7 of us, gorgeous route and lovely to meet new people

Excellent you enjoyed the Raphael 💯 I had friends completing that ride but wasn’t able to sue to work.

Out tomorrow for a ride though before my invite for Sunday roast - work up an appetite
