I've just started C25K and am going to need a decent sports bra, in a 36E.

I'd be interested in any recommendations or suggestions. This is completely new to me and I suspect M & S won't cut it.

Wretched iPad!

That should of course say 'bra' and it posted before I could say thanks,

So, thanks.

I’ve got a shock absorber which I really rate. If you’re not fussy about colours, you can but them really cheaply.

dementedpixie · 01/09/2018 17:03

I like panache active underwired

treaclesoda · 01/09/2018 17:05

The best I've ever had is a Freya sports bra. Nothing moves, at all. But it does give a ...pointy Grin look. But I think none of them look particularly flattering so it doesn't matter too much.

34F. Shock Absorber run bra. You need to try it on though, it’s not my usual bra size.

EthelThePiratesDaughter · 01/09/2018 21:00

Another vote for shock absorbers here.

CMOTDibbler · 01/09/2018 21:01

I hate Shock Absorbers - the Freya or Panache work for me

Freshprincess · 01/09/2018 21:04

I use shock absorber as well. You do need to try them on, the band is really tight and I had to go up a size.

BrassicaBabe · 01/09/2018 22:37

I've always been a dedicated shock absorber lover. But recently I've bought a panache underwired one. Both good bras. Both ££ though. I'm not sure you can scrimp on a sports bra though

HDready · 01/09/2018 22:40

I’d recommend a boobband as well as a sports bra - stops the bounce completely!

greencatbluecat · 01/09/2018 22:48

I got a great sports bra from Victoria Secret recently. It's a good idea to get fitted.

GladysKnight · 01/09/2018 22:58

Have just tried one of each of the brands listed here. For me the shock absorber was the best fit in my usual (M&S bra size which for me is 36D) - quite snug (but perfectly comfy) which is obviously what you want. I'm very pleased with it.

The freya and panache were both lovely bras - especially liked the freya one, it even seemed to have a kind of sculptured boob separator in the middle, very clever; but that one in particular came up a bit big and even left a bit of jiggle room which I definitely didn't want! and the panache wasn't really snug either - so I would consider ordering smaller cup sizes if I hadn't decided just to keep the shock absorber and leave it at that.

Thanks all.

I am intrigued by the booband. I have huge tits and the only thing that works for me is a shock absorber sports bra and then I wear a racer back one on top- it really helps but I buy it 3 sizes too small so its really tight and squishes everything flat. I think the booband might work in a,similar way.

Kleptronic · 01/09/2018 23:05

I do 5k and parkrun and swear by Freya, I have 2 on rotation, I'm a 34DD. I got them off Amazon for much cheapness. Nothing moves. They're not pointy either! :)

LastOneDancing · 01/09/2018 23:10

I ordered about 20 different sports bras in various brands and sizes from Boobydoo - it's free delivery over £50 and free returns so nothing to lose.

I ended up sticking with the same shock absorber run bra though Hmm, too much jiggle in the others for me.

motortroll · 02/09/2018 10:04

Shock absorber! I'm a 36f m and s size but I'm wearing a 38E in shock absorber. Works for me as I hate it to feel too tight round the chest! So good with NO movement!

Wiifitmama · 02/09/2018 10:06

Shock absorber here too. Sitting here right now a sweaty mess in one having just got back from a run. No bounce!
