Muscle pain

Went to my first body combat in years yesterday and have woken today with tight sore lower back muscles. Is this normal DOMS for body combat or did I do something wrong?

Also, I'm booked in for spin tonight, is this a good idea?

Any sort of exercise will make your muscles hurt if you haven't done it for a while. Ideally you should take a day off between bouts of strenuous exercise but spin will be working our muscles differently. I can guarantee your legs will ache in the morning!
If you have joined a leisure centre it might be a good idea to sign up for body balance, yoga or Tai chi as those activities seem to help loosen everything off again.
For me horse riding and exercises with lots of lunges and squats are the worst for making me ache, but now do all of these regularly and am fine with them. As I am older (62) I can't stop exercising as I ache even more if I don't do any.

Been exercising consistently for a month or so and don't find myself getting too sore, that's why I was wondering if body combat was maybe working different muscles or had I done something wrong! I'll try spin tonight, might be helpful to get them warmed up again! Thanks for your advice Smile.
