Friendly, informal women's football in NW London

I work for a community organisation that is setting up women's football sessions in north-west London. Our passion is to encourage everyone to try playing football, as it's much more fun than other forms of exercise. For some reason, a lot of women seem to feel that they shouldn't try football. We want to change this perception so that nobody misses out!

I've been working with Middlesex FA to get the project off the ground, and they suggested posting on Mumsnet. I hope this is appropriate.

We currently have the following sessions:

U17 (for girls born between 01.09.2001 and 31.08.2003): Tuesdays from 5pm-6pm at Tokyngton Recreation Ground, commonly known as Monks Park, NW9. This is a big park, but if you enter via Grove Way, we usually use the goals right there.

Open Aged 1 (for women aged 17+): As above but from 6pm-7pm.

Open aged 2 (for women aged 16+): Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm at Malcolm Park, NW4. This is a small park and it's easy to find us, but if you enter via Edgeworth Close we'll be right in front of you.

Updates are posted on our Facebook and Instagram; www.facebook.com/tethyas/ and www.instagram.com/tethyas/
All updates (weather cancellations, changes to session times etc.) are posted here.

You can just turn up to a session if you'd like to try it out. The first two sessions are free and after that they cost £2. Please reply to this thread if you have any questions - or message the social media accounts.

I hope to see some of you and your older daughters on the pitch soon!
