I seem to ask a lot of questions on here but I feel like it's better than asking Google sometimes.. apologies 🙈
I am almost 8 weeks post natal after having an emergency c section (never experienced anything so scary in my life btw) and as I gained a lot of weight through pregnancy I am very eager to get back to the gym ... Now I am still eating crap but I found that when I exercise I eat better. I used to be a size 12 toned build and loved weight lifting. It's been a while (I stopped about 3 month before falling pregnant) and I am dying to get back into it...can anyone advise me when I can start training again to get me back in shape? Fyi I went up 3 dress sizes and I haven't lost any weight since having my son other than a few pounds and I feel like my body shape is all weird now too, I still feel like my stomach is swollen but can that be the case?

It can be so individual, but I think the key thing is to start slow and listen to your body. I had an emergency c section and started with some gentle walks and then went back to running at around 9weeks post-section.
Have you had your post-natal check (I think it’s usually at six week but my sugery do them at 8)? Might be worth asking them to check if you have any muscle separation going on if you’re concerned about an unusual body shape.

I haven't had my 6 week check yet as my doctor is an ass and asked me to leave the practice as I had moved address so I'm currently waiting for my registration with a different doctors to accept me and then I need to wait for an appointment.. shocking really especially with a neonate being left unseen and myself after the ordeal! I'm still swollen in my stomach and have wound infections that will not go away either. I just want to get back to normal so I start feeling better!!

I understand but a csection is a major operation. Talk to your doctor. Take it easy for the first three months minimum. (I damaged myself doing too much too soon.)
