Hello there - I’m going skiing in about five weeks. I am a bit shit at skiing so I find it really tough on my legs and find all the faffing about really hard.

So, I’ve been running about 6k 3 times a week, doing Pilates twice a week, and trying to lose weight. I’m about 7lbs overweight and I think that makes a difference when you are carrying skis around etc.

Anyway, I was going in the right direction and feeling pretty good, then got a virus and have done bugger all for about three weeks.

My question is, is it worth getting back on it? I am not feeling motivated. How long does it take to get my (limited) fitness back?

I am pretty gutted.

I have just got back and I am not remotwly as fit as you are and I was absolutely fine skiing 10am to 5pm.

You’ll be fine.

Thanks! I’m just a bit gutted that all my hard work slogging through the pissing rain in January may be for naught. Smile
