Has anyone done any of these trail runs before? I have a half booked soon and am excited and very nervous in equal measures.

Have done a fair few trail runs from 16km to ultra but none of these. Also on my list though. Which are you doing? Have you done a trail race before?

I'm doing the Sussex half in March. I haven't done a trail race per se, but have just started doing some trail runs, have been road running for around 3 years. Quite worried about the hills! But sure it'll be enjoyable.

For hills - think like an ultra-runner and walk up anything big / very steep at a fast walk. It's much more energy-efficient than running up and you'll have loads more energy at the top. And have fun! It's much more fun than roads imo...

Thanks Pootle! I've heard that before, so will definitely try that. Yes, I have a feeling I am going to get hooked Grin.
