Any advice on fantastic winter running clothing?

I run 3 times a week minimum and love it.
Last winter though i struggled with cold, so I’m looking for really decent running gear that will keep me warm but not weigh me down or overheat.

Any suggestions?

Is the sweaty betty thermodynamic range worth it?

Thanks

Fleece lined leggings. Amazing. Like these:

Also a good, breathable base layer on top and a lightweight wool hat.

Brilliant! Thank you.

I’m a 6-8. Should I size up or down on these do you suggest?

I found them pretty true to size, but maybe find somewhere local that stocks them so you can try before you buy?

I love the Ron Hill merino half zip top for winter running. It keeps the worst of the cold off without getting too sweaty.

Decathlon have a good range including thermal leggings and light shower/ windproof hoodies in high vis colours.

I found last winter that cycling gloves work well as they're not too warm when you get going.

I just had layers. And some decent gloves and a hat.
On my legs, I wore normal leggings and shorts over the job. Plus a running long sleeved top, with a t shirt over the top. The hat and gloves made the biggest difference.

Normal running leggings I mean!
