Any lunch break exercisers?

I'm too knackered to exercise in the evening and struggle getting up in the morning as it is never mind getting up earlier to exercise. Someone in my office mentioned that the gym 5 mins away does 30 minute lunchtime classes. If I did this 3 times a week (high intensity type classes) would it make any difference? Currently doing pretty much nothing. I'm so unfit I would sweat buckets so definitely need a shower, though I don't wear much makeup or have to wear super smart suit etc to work. For those of you that exercise in your lunch hour, is it a massive faff and is it worth it? Any tips for getting organised?

There was another thread about this situation, maybe in Exercise topic or Chat. Worth hunting for.

I've just starting this. I work next door to a gym that's just started a load of lunchtime classes. I've done a few pilates sessions, which I'm going to do every week, and I'm trying some of the rest to see what I like and what suits. I nip over, get changed, do the class, grab a very quick shower, changed back to work wear, heat up my food and eat at my desk as my hour is up.
I did body pump today and I feel like I've achieved loads by 1pm on a Monday. My shoulders and arms have been weak and a bit achy since, so it's definitely doing something! I figure anything is better than nothing and I have absolutely no excuses left for not going there.

You need to choose your work clothes with care on the days you workout at lunchtime and choose items that you can easily get in and out of in the short time available.

I do this, work at home and manage to get to the gym round the corner, do 30mins, get home, make lunch, eat it and back to my desk in an hour. Wakes me up a bit and forces me to stop looking at a screen for an hour!

I used to and found a great way to get regular exercise. I would do spin for half an hour so intense enough to be worthwhile. I stopped as my schedule became very unpredictable so couldn't commit to classes. Now I try and run for 40 mins as can shower back at office. Good for winter too as fewer options pre or post work
