Anyone else getting ready to go back to the gym after the summer holidays, feeling fat :(

I rejoined the gym half way through the holidays as I could feel the weight piling back on and kids were driving me nuts spent a whole week going every day but since then I have only been going once, maybe twice a week due to being busy with work and struggling with childcare. I have just taken Dd swimming and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and it's not good. I'm now counting the days down until the dc's go back (next week) and I need to be consistent and go to the gym most days before work and not go and buy cake afterwards. I need to sort my diet out, start eating proper meals instead of grabbing fish and chips whilst out. I need will power, any one else in the same position?

Yes me too!
Barely been all summer. Need to lose several stone, particularly that which has arrived around my waist from menopause.
Hope to go most mornings from next week, but find it hard as takes up so much of my day getting there and back, as well as classes/gym session ( v rural).
No willpower about food or exercise. And enjoy rather too many glasses of wine of an evening too. Help!

I don't really use the gym but can't wait until the kids are old enough to be left alone while I go for a run.

You could run laps round the park while they play ,if old enough to not need you next to them....or if little get / beg/ borrow ,a jogging type buggy

I do try and take them on trips where they ride their bikes and I walk / run, but some days they refuse to leave the house - normally the day after a 5k bike ride!!

Yep me too. Haven't been to my Zumba or Pilates during the holidays, just too difficult with ds around. I can definitely feel and see the effect of not enough exercise! Planning on getting back to it all in September.
